Best Laid Plans Posted on January 13, 2018September 23, 2020 This photo was a drive-by photo taken with my iPhone. Although not the greatest photo, it has a great personal meaning to me. Well as they say best-laid plans, we were very much enjoying our chasing sunsets and I was finally beginning to feel creative again, remembering to live a little and do things that didn’t revolve around work, when another curveball came at me. See the first curveball came in November of 2015 when I lost my mother unexpectedly. Life became challenging, my father was lost without her, us kids became his guide. We had finally been getting life settled and started to find our new normal when we were hit with another curveball. It wasn’t but a few days after my last post about not allowing myself to forget to live, that my dad told me he was going to need heart surgery. From that moment on the concern set in, we had a few appointments and by August it was determined that he needed the big heart surgery. While quite concerned, he had our support. The actual surgery went ok, his heart began working quite well, however, the recovery not so much, and at the end of August, we lost our father too. Now that we are in the New Year and the “business” side of losing our loved ones is beginning to settle out, the healing will continue on, however it is time to get back to living and starting to create again. It is time to find our new and ever-changing “normal”. Recently my husband has been getting into videography, with that we are going to make time to get out and shoot, so hopefully, I can jump back into building my portfolio. For now, I will leave you with a special photo, this was taken with my iPhone however it has great meaning to me and I feel it should be with this post.
